What a great excuse to empty your pockets each night! These beautifully made money boxes complete with seagull, double as highly decorative little beach huts. Model Trawler (GF071)
This is a lovely little model of a traditional trawler complete with steading sail and fishing net. They measure 20cms overall and come complete with a stand so that they can either sit on a shelf or be fixed to the wall of your hut.
Flattie Model Sailing Boat (GF072)
This is a very detailed model of a so called flattie sailing craft designed for shoal waters. The hard chine construction of the real ones made them cheap and easy to build. The flat hull made them tender to sail and they had to scuttle off back to port or the beach when the wind strengthened! The hull detail, the simple lug rig and the type of equipment that the fishermen use to carry is all faithfully reproduced in this delightful model. It measures 45 cms overall including the bowsprit and traditional transom hung rudder.
Model Flattie Rowing Boat (GF074)
This is similar to the flattie sailing boat in that the hull is a simple chine construction which made for ease of building. They would have been used in shoal waters. Again, these are beautifully made and measure 12cms overall and have fixed oars. The hull has clear varnish and a blue rubbing strake and boot topping.
Model Deep Water Rowing Boat (GF075)
These are fabulous little models which faithfully reproduce the heavy clinker boats of earlier years. They measure 30cms overall and come with detachable oars.
Large Model Open Fishing Boat (GF076)
At 70cms long and 18cms wide, this is the largest of our models. The flat bottomed scow with planked sides is a simple but effective craft. The model is carefully detailed with lobster pots, nets and barrels for storing fish. Most of these are fixed to the inside of the hull so that the craft can be fixed to a wall with the detail showing. It also has its own stand.
Trawler picture (GF109)
The frame mounted three dimensional trawler is an excellent example of the unique qualities of Raku ceramics which originated in Japan around the 16th century. The work is heated quickly to high temperatures in a kiln and then placed in wood shavings or similar combustible materials. This superb picture measures 29x29x3 cm. Please note that due to this unique process, all images will vary slightly.
Seashore (GF056)
Photographs cannot possibly do justice to the artistry of Lynne Kerr. These pictures really need to be seen hanging on a wall with light flickering over the surface to do justice to her superb work. Beautifully mounted in a light plain frame.
Dippy ducks (GF057)
This is a very clever portrayal of a pond scene above and below the surface with two ducks foraging for food amongst the weeds. Once again, this picture does not do justice to the beautiful image. Mounted in a plain frame measuring 52 cm wide by 32 cm high.
Runner ducks (GF105)
A talking point in any display, these enchanting characters are available in two sizes and will look magnificant individually or as a pair. Handcrafted to order. Treat your friends to our ducks as an unusual gift although once you see them we feel sure you will wish to keep them for yourselves
Spoonbill (GF106)
An intriguing representation of the scarce but regular visitor to the coasts of South East England. The Spoonbill uses its long flat bill and spoon shaped tip to sweep from side to side when feeding in shallow water. Its distinct white plummage contrasts with the yellow of its breast and base of its bill.
Avocet (GF107)
What a fabulous and fun represenation of an Avocet, the symbol of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. You will immediately recognise the long upswept bill which it sweeps from side to side through the water when feeding. Avocets are mainly found in East Anglia from April to September and outside the breeding season they can be found in flocks in estuaries in the South and South west of England.
