A Beach Hut for GBP 500,000!

Or if thats a bit rich for you, how about this beach hut at 500,000?

Daily Telegraph April 2006

A Beach Hut on the South Coast is on sale for 500,000. The seaside home is made from timber, has a felt roof and was nearly blown down by a tornado four years ago.

It is also at risk from landslip as it is surrounded by eroding cliffs. But as the chalets neighbour Billy Bragg states, it can command the price because of its location, location, location.

The wooden building, which can be lived in all year, sits on the seafront at Burton Bradstock near Bridport, Dorset and has dramatic views of the English Channel. The 85-year old property, with direct access to the beach, has two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, south facing garden and its own parking space.

It sold more than a decade ago for 46,000 but since then the stretch of coast its sits on has become part of Englands first World heritage Site.
