Shopping with Beach Hut World

Method of payment  

The site is designed to accept payment via credit/debit cards and we accept all the main cards. These payments are processed via WorldPay thereby affording you complete protection. The transactions will appear on your statement under the reference Castletor On Line Services which is our payments service company.

If you would prefer to pay by cheque, then this is perfectly acceptable. The method of doing this is to calculate the total cost of your purchases and add the post and packing. You can see the postage charge simply by clicking on the order process as though you were going to order on line. When you get to this point, use the "back" button on the top left of the screen.

On receipt of your cheque, we acknowledge the order and the goods are despatched once the cheque is cleared. Cheques should be sent to Beach Hut World Ltd, Po Box 194, Oxted, RH8 9WH

 Privacy Policy

Beach Hut World is committed to protecting your privacy. When you order, we need to know your name, e-mail address and delivery address. This allows us to process and fulfil your orders and to notify you of the status of your order. We also ask for a telephone number which enables us to contact you Phone numbers are really useful to us and to our couriers.

We use the information we collect on the site to facilitate on-line shopping with us. This information is not passed to any third parties apart from delivery companies such as the Royal Mail who will deliver packages and send postal mail and e-mails on our behalf. They need access to personal information needed to perform these functions, but may not use it for any other purposes and are required to process the data in accordance with the UK's Data Protection legislation.

Delivery charges

We aim to dispatch goods second class Royal Mail within 72 hours providing that they are in stock. If this is not possible, we will let you know. If you require following day courier delivery, please call us and we will advise you of the extra cost. Our carriers will require a signature or specified other delivery instructions.

A separate charge is made for beach huts and lining kits.

Returns

We would like all our customers to be completely satisfied with their purchases. In the unlikely event of a customer not being satisfied, we would ask that the goods be returned, by registered delivery at the customer's expense, unused, in good condition and in the original packaging stating the reason for their return. If the goods are not as ordered or damaged, customers are asked to contact us within 24 so that we can arrange for replacements to be sent.

BEACH HUT WORLD'S TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR SUPPLY OF GOODS & SERVICES

1. DEFINITIONS
1.1 "Buyer" means the person who buys the goods or agrees to buy the goods from the Seller.
1.2 "Date of Event" means the date the event will take place.
1.3 "Goods" means the products, which the Buyer agreed to buy from the Seller.
1.4 "Services" means the services specified in a proposal.
1.5 "Price" means the agreed price for the goods, including VAT but excluding carriage, packaging and additional insurance as arranged under instruction of the Buyer.
1.6 "Standard Insurance" cover is provided for goods up to a value of 80p per kilo. Seller reserves the right to alter this price without notice.
1.7 "Seller" means Beach Hut World Ltd PO Box 194, Oxted, RH8 9WH
1.8 "Carrier" means Royal Mail or any other contracted service used to deliver the goods to the Buyer.
1.9 "Terms and Conditions" means the terms and conditions of supply set out in this document and any special terms and conditions agreed in writing by the Seller.
2. Conditions Applicable
2.1 These conditions shall apply to all contracts for the sale of Goods by the Seller to the Buyer to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions that the Buyer may purport to apply under any purchase order, similar document or verbal agreement.
2.2 All orders for Goods shall be an offer by the Buyer to purchase Goods pursuant to these conditions.
2.3 Any variation to these Conditions shall be inapplicable unless agreed in writing by the Seller.
3. The price and payment
3.1 The Buyer must pay for goods for all goods in full before they are dispatched or in accordance with an alternative arrangement that must have been agreed by the Seller in writing.
3.2 The price is inclusive of VAT at the rate ruling on the date of the Seller's invoice. The price excludes carriage unless specifically stated otherwise by the Seller.
3.3 No cancellation can be made once payment has been received.
3.4 Any costs omitted or corrections on invoices will be invoiced or credited. The buyer must notify the Seller promptly if the correct amount has not been billed to enable this to be rectified.
4. Goods
4.1 The quantities and description of goods shall be as set out on the order form.
4.2 Due to the nature of some of the Goods, the Buyer may notice very slight irregularities in colour shadings, material substance or fabric weave. This will not be considered to be imperfections but rather evidence of the individualised, handcrafted nature of these products. No claim arising out of these irregularities will be entertained.
4.3 Very occasionally, the Seller may find that the raw materials required to produce the Goods chosen by the Buyer have become discontinued, temporarily unavailable or that their physical properties have been altered in some way. In this case, although the Seller will wherever, possible, liaise with the Buyer concerning an alternative; the Seller is not obliged to do so. The Seller, therefore, reserves the right to provide a suitable alternative in a case like this. Cancellation of the order under these circumstances will only be allowed if the Buyer is able to obtain special dispensation in writing from the Seller.
5. Warranties and liabilities
5.1 The Seller warrants that the bulk of the Goods will at the time of delivery correspond to the description given by the Seller. All sizes quoted are approximate and may vary from time to time and the seller may make changes in the specification of the Goods which do not materially affect the quality of fitness for purpose of the Goods. Except where the Buyer is dealing as a consumer (as defined in the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 Section 12) all other warranties, conditions or terms relating to fitness for purpose, quality and condition of the Goods and whether implied by statue or common law or other wise are excluded.
5.2 The Seller shall be under no liability whatsoever to the Buyer for any indirect loss / expense (including loss of profit) suffered by the Buyer or any third party, howsoever caused, as a result of any negligence, breach of contract, misrepresentation or otherwise by the Seller of this contract.
6. Delivery of goods
6.1 The Buyer shall make all arrangements necessary to take delivery of the Goods whenever they are tendered for delivery.
6.2 Unless specifically requested, method of carriage will be at the seller's discretion.
6.2 Where delivery to the Buyer's business address is requested additional courier or postage charges incurred may be passed on to the Buyer. Where such delivery is requested then delivery will be deemed to have taken place when the Seller passes the Goods to the Carrier.
6.3 Delivery dates are estimated, based on information being passed to the Seller as specified. Time for delivery shall not be of the essence of the contract and the Seller shall not be liable for any loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused directly or indirectly by any delay in the delivery of the Goods.
6.4 The Buyer shall take delivery of the Goods tendered notwithstanding that the quantity so delivered shall be either greater or less than the quantity purchased.
7. Acceptance of goods
7.1 The Buyer shall be deemed to have accepted Goods 24 hours after delivery to the Buyer.
7.2 After acceptance the Buyer shall not be entitled to reject goods, which are not in accordance with this contract.
8. Title of risk
8.1 Title to the Goods shall pass on acceptance.
8.2 The Goods shall be at the Buyer's risk as from Delivery.
9. Remedies of Buyer
9.1 Where the Buyer rejects any Goods then the Buyer shall have no further rights whatever in respect of the supply to the Buyer of such Goods or the failure by the Seller to supply Goods which conform to the contract of sale.
9.2 Where the Buyer accepts or has been deemed to have accepted any Goods then the Seller shall have no liability whatsoever to the Buyer in respect of those Goods.
10. Force majeure
10.1 Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure to perform any of its obligations if the delay or failure results from events or circumstances outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, lock outs, accidents, war, fire, breakdown of plant or machinery or shortage or unavailability of raw materials from a natural source of supply, and the party shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of its obligations.
12. Severance
12.1 If any term or provision of these Terms and Conditions is held invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason by any court of competent jurisdiction such provision shall be severed and the remainder of the provisions hereof shall continue in full force and effect as if these Terms and Conditions had been agreed with the invalid, illegal or unenforceable provision eliminated.
13. Governing law
13.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of United Kingdom and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the British courts.
